The first Staines-upon-Thames day was held on the 20 May 2012 to celebrate and formally change the name of Staines to Staines-upon-Thames .
The intention was to lose the bad image of being rundown and not an appealing place which was mostly portrayed by Ali G, and to entice businesses and the tourist industry to the area by showing what Staines-upon-Thames has to offer, situated on the river, in close proximity London being a prime location to live and do business.
Three years on businesses like ourselves sponsor and team together in co-operation with the council to host a fantastic event which attracts over 5000 people from Staines-upon-Thames and surrounding areas to raise money for charity, promote business but more importantly keep up community spirit!
